You've got a lot of beautiful country up there too. It's just a lot different.

I like that camper!! I have traveled for years and have seen a lot of the world and stayed in some 3 and 4 star hotels. Given the choice, I would rather sleep in a camper or tent! That picture just makes me want to hunt.

| Yes there are some trout in the lake. If your family ever decides to come up here I can have the camper in the mountains waiting for you.

I have seen alot of that country and it is pretty. What is cool is to be fishing and look up stream and see a herd of mulies crossing up river from ya. My wife and i saw lot's of moose and mule deer while we were driving around, and about sixty million prarie dogs too.
My wife got some pics of a mama moose standing on the side of the road in willow creek pass in the creek eating some grass. When we moved a little closer her baby ran over to her and we turned and moved away and the moose and baby hung around for a while allowing us a oppurtunity to observe them.

That's pretty cool. I would love to see that. Wyo knows that I'm a flatlander as he calls me he is down south right now and we could not get together because of my schedule I have not taken a vacation since me and my wife camped out in the grand canyon 5 years ago. It was fun. Anyway I'm going up there to visit this spring come hell or more high water I would love to live somewhere new and see new things like that, but the pictures he has sent of the cold makes me shiver thinking about it. Never seen a moose up close or even a mule deer in my scope. The best thing is the Antelope. I have seen a lot of people come down here and just be overcome by the birds and wildlife that we have, even the swamp, but it is everyday to me, so I think it would be fun to go up there and visit. Ha, me and Wyo have known eachother for a few years now online, but never met in person. Can't wait.

By the way, he caught a shark and sent me the pictures. I hope he shares them with y'all. He's a redneck just like us

we saw some antelope out there too. And a critter called a marment? and a porcupine. Throw in a yote or two and we saw the zoo. Seeing different places is great when you have a good wife and kids to see those places with.
I am proud to be a redneck as all people should be. And there are plenty of us every where. Jeff Foxworthy say's that the definition of a redneckis " a glorious absence of sophistication". I believe it is more of a mindset, not racially driven, but a love of simple life styles, family, and the outdoors.

I finally made it back home. When I left Port Aransas Tx. on the 20th at 5am. it was 72 degrees. It is 8pm and it is 12 degrees going into the single digits tonight and I'm ready to head back south!
I like to refer to the marmots as rocky mountain groundhogs, we have pikas too.
And I'll get that picture of my little shark posted.

| What exactly is a pika? I thought the marmets looked like a cross between a ground hog and a badger.

Pika is just another rodent. 6-8" long and about 6ozs. They have round ears. I always thought that a marmot looked just like a ground hog. The pikas and marmots live in the same area.
