I had a chipmunk in my house once, could never catch him until a friend of mine came over with a shoe box-he made a little trap with the box proped up with a stick and tied some string to the stick , put dog food under the proped up box. We waited in the corner drinking beer I kept tellin him he was crazy the damn thing is smarter than that- 30 min later we caught it in that joke of a trap.  You never know whats gonna work:)

I tell ya, I had a similar problem. Flying squirrels in the attic of my camp at Toledo Bend. I got a small live trap and did a relocation project. Then just when I thought all was well, I went to my camp and found the 1' X  1'  styrofoam ceiling squares laying all over the camp. I darn coon had squeezed through the gable louvers, and tore havic in my attic. He was gone, so I had to get some 1/2" hardware cloth and cover the inside of the louvers, on each end of the gable. Keeps squirrels and coons out.

I found the solution. It is the "Squirrel Relocator"

Nutoy, I bet your PETA neighbor would love this!

If thats the video i'm thinking it is, with the skeet thrower, it is hilarious.

I bet my PETA neighbor would have a carinary if I did that.

As far as catching pesty squirrels, snares work very good.
