Wife and I are trying to decide what we want to do next winter.

I want to spend a couple months down in Florida hunting wild hogs

Wife wants to stay here and buy a new snowsled.

What would you guys do?:D

Well, your wife just had knee surgery, so I would guess that you "KNEED" to do what she wants too do, but I would suggest being her Valentine hero and convincing her that you will take her to florida and have a great time hog hunting. If it were me, I would find an outfitter that hunts with dogs, because winter time is hard hunting if it's not with dogs.  To many things to do in Florida besides hog hunting anyway, why be cold if you can be warm and have a good time seeing something new.

Bruce, Don't give her a new trap, gun, or fishingpole. Buy, or make her a new sled that you can use when you get back with a tan.

Don't know if it would work but was thinking about sitting on some bait with either my gun or bow if the gun was not legal.Winter time is not my richer time of the year as I'm drawing unemployment so no way I could afford a guide.

Brucet:  Go to Florida, even if it takes some serious groveling on your part.  I sure know what you mean about being neck deep in snow.  I too am getting alittle tired of "The Winter Wonderland".  Would love to be there for awhile right now, fishing some nice warm beach, slight breeze, fish hook in the water (no bait on it) with some ice tea and no COLD.  Humm little nap might be in order while were at it.  Ask her PLEASEEEEEE.

Bruce, on the trip down you could spend a day or so here. I've got a spare room, and plenty to do and wouldnt cost you a cent, well maybe a non-res fishing liscense or a 3- day hunting permit, all of which will cost about 30.00 bucks.:D
