I only got an 1 1/2's worth of sleep, got up at 3:45am and headed out to hunt on a new place along the red river. It was unbearably hot, 105 degrees and where the hogs should have been there were fisherman and people on four wheelers. The only thing that made it bearable was good friends and a strong wind. We drove two hours to the next place, it wasn't any cooler, in fact the wind had stopped except for the occasional change of direction which assured me of not seeing a hog. To add insult to injury I could see it was raining just over the next hill wishing it would come my way and cool thing off. I got back home around midnight empty handed except for a few pictures.
these guys know how to stay cool.
