You guys we had a blast my youngest daughter got her first gator Saturday night a seven footer but the first night we got another seven and an eleven that was huge it took us around 45 minutes to get it in the boat. We shot it three times(38 caliber bang stick) before we brought it in, when we rolled it over in the boat  it bit the bow deck so we hauled butt to the boat ramp with the gator still latched on to the deck. When we got to the ramp my brother in law (Paul) kicked the gator off the deck and he stood up and opened his eyes Mr. Weeks (Larry his boat) grabbed the bang stick and nailed him  right there in the boat I was like what the hell are you doing, Then the bang stick jammed. Mr. Weeks hollered Mike go get your pistol ( no firearms allowed in the boat but bang sticks) so I took off running about the time I got to the truck I heard another bang so I took off back to the boat then another bang before I could get there. Well by the time I got back to the boat the gator had turned around in the boat and was crawling out the back of the boat so Mr. Weeks had to hit him twice more to stop him. That was the best gator we have put in the boat so far. We wound up with a seven and an eleven the first night and a seven and a ten the second night tagged out. Tired and worn out eating fresh gator meat tonight. We got a lot of footage and pics of the hunts to follow as soon as I can. I'll be off to South Carolina outfitting through to the second weekend of September starting soon so I'll be on as much as I can.

Talk to you guys soon
Mike

I shot an 11, several years ago. A 22 long rifle, right behind and below the eye, stopped him dead. I didn't worry about getting him in the boat, as I just didn't want him around my dock where my kids and dogs were swimming. The big thing was getting close enough to shoot him with the rifle, out of a rocking boat. When I finally got close enough, I was almost a mile from my dock, and in the middle of the lake. So, that was where he stayed.
