There is a difference between a silver and a sugar maple. Have you ever tasted the sap off of a sugar maple?

We used to tap the sugar maple trees in late Feburary. The sap is clear like water and has a sweet earthy taste.
I always like hickory the best.

You get the sap from a sugar maple tree and cook it down and that becomes maple syrup.

Since we are down to the last day. How abot a little help? Is it not common to your area or the US? Is it a fruit or nut bearing tree? Flowering?
Could be a Buckhorn, sawtooth oak, sibeian elm, blue ash?

That’s right, (these) trees are actually considered to be a living fossil from prehistoric times. Why is that important? Because it demonstrates the fact that (these) trees may be one of the hardiest trees on earth.
They are drought, insect and disease resistant. Further, they’re not affected by extreme heat, snow or ice. (These trees) even do well in areas with poor air quality making them great for city locales. Plus, they don’t require pruning or spraying. They are particularly easy to establish and can grow between one foot to as many as three feet per year! They make an excellent shade tree requiring almost no maintenance.
Oh yeah to me, they are not common.Might be a common tree to you.I don't honestly know. Not a tree I have much about............................

Very good guess WYO! Since your stil in the winter up there, I took the left over black berries we picked and made a cream cheese blackberry pie and saved you some topped with some fresh kumqauts from the back yard.
