I have been told that once you shoot a hog a certain location no other pigs will come there for a little while.  I didn't completely believe this.  So the last one I shot I gutted on spot, in front of my stand and my trail cam.  A corned the spot up real good that night and the next afternoon.  And the camera picked took pictures of a couple hogs coming to eat the corn I had put out.

That proves that theory wrong in my book!

I stuck one with an arrow on the side of a trail and he dropped in his tracks. I left him there and went to another area to check out my bait and when I came back another boar was smelling him, so I circled around and stuck him too. I don't think it matters all that much if your not using a trap. I have shot them in the trap and still caught more, but it was a few days later.

I think it might make a difference to a older hog, but not all of them. In fact, I have shot deer and had other deer there the next day. Might have bothered the "big one" though.

the first thing you have to remember is that each animal has a distinct personality and will react differently to different situations.

the next thing to remember is that people are the only ones bound by "rules".

I've hunted the same bedding areas for years and everyone knows that if you kill a hog in a bedding area that hogs will not bed there anymore:?. I'm kinda of glad some people believe that, it allows me more bedding areas all to my self.
