While out hunting hogs i came across a pair of black bear in a forrest service road. They looked to be about 300 pounds and if they stood up maybe a touch over six feet high. I havent seen many bears in the wild, so i want to know if bears together is a usual occurrence. I always thought them to be kind of a loaner and kept to themselves. Since fall is well on the way and the weather cooler is it to late for them to be a mating pair? Or could they be sibblings?

For the most part, boars and sows won't stay together. You probably saw siblings. Where I hunt it is rare that I see two bear the same size together. I see alot of sows with small cubs. Sounds like you need to get a bear tag too!
