I'm looking to buy a nightblaster light that attaches to your scope for night hunting.Does anyone know anything about them or other such lights used at night?

Bruce,

The only ones that may be able to help you are in Texas. I wish I could hunt at night, and always wanted too, but you can only hunt coon at night here with a single shot .22 if you are using dogs. I guess they just don't trust the good 'ol boys from LA. Probably with good reason though:?

It is even illegal to shoot a hog in a trap at night here. You have to sit and wait until legal daylight.

I don't have one myself but I know someone that has one of the lower powered ones that is supposed to be good out to 100 yds. They didn't like it at all. I think they had a poor quality scope on thier rifle so that may be why they were unhappy with it. I think it would work fine if you have quality optics.

I used to shoot nutria rats at night. I took a ratchet style welding band and mounted a 12v aircraft landing bulb to the top of the welding band with a big hose clamp. That thing will shine well past 200 yds. Nowadays I use it for bowfishing/bull froggin.

Legal here in Maine to shoot predators at night certain times of the year.

I see the ones that are suppose to work out to 100 yards. The one I'm looking at is more powerfull and suppose to be good out to 350 yards.
