Just a heads up, Walmart has a flock of 4 turkey decoys for about 38.00. They are really nice decoys with taxidermist eyes. I bought some and really think they look pretty good and they didnt bother the hens the other day, they just fed around them.

For the price you cant beat it!!!!!!

The closest Wallyworld is an hour away but yesterday I was in that area so I dropped in to check out those decoys. They didn't have any. They didn't have any turkey hunting stuff at all. I ask the sporting goods guy what was up? He said they wern't going to handle any turkey hunting gear, or much hunting gear for anything from now on except camo clothing. No guns either and they were not going to order any more ammo. I about fell on the floor. This WalMart use to have just about everything you could ever want in the hunting. He said he couldn't beleive it either but the new manager is a woman and she don't like hunting.  Think I'll send their HQ a email from a very unsatisified X-customer.

Well, try looking at their website, and you can order them from there. I would hate to think of wallyworld doing that, but it's happening here in certain areas.. For instance, based on demographics and high crime areas, they have taken out most hunting items in certain stores and there again based on demographics they have increased the hunting lines in other stores. Unfortunately, they are catering to the demand of the area and it is based on race, not overall customer needs. I think that i should be able to walk into any walmart and buy the same thing while i'm on a week long hunting trip far away and not at the one closest to home. I guess they think ammo goes stale or gun oils go rancid if it doesnt sell for a couple of years. It isnt gonna kill them to keep a couple of items on the shelf to accomadate the weary travelerand customer.

That makes me mad. The one in Orange just about has nothing either. I will call in a little while Nutoy, when you are off the net.

Looking back over some of the previous post's, i guess i should feel lucky that the Walmart near me sell's guns and ammo. And to further bolster my comment about the deomgraphics, think about this......

Where i live is mostly white and the aforementioned store carries ammo and gun's.

Where i work is mostly other races and they only carry ammo, no cammo or anything else.

I assume that while trying to reduce inventory shrinkage and not supply the people of the area with firearms obtained legally, they feel that it is okay to supply these same people with ammo for illegally obtained fire arms.

I dont see the ryhme or reason in the way or logic in thinking that this helps anything, seeing as how Walmart keeps ammo under lock and key. Seemingly they could keep guns the same way and do near my home.

I'm not trying to get anything started here by my comments and hope i dont offend anyone, these are merely observations i have made over time. I have seen this all over the southeast.

Nutoy and Chick, look around where you live or at the area closest to you and the population of dominence, and see if my theory is correct. I would be willing to bet money that it is...
