I use a food dehydrator when i make jerky and since i'm at work i cant provide the brand name, but i have had this one for several years and it still works fine. I tend to make my own recipes for the different flavors of jerky, and i like to use dry rub's when making some very spicy. I usually put the rub on the meat and let it set a few days in the refridgerator, then coat it again with rub and put it in the dehydrator. By doing this the spices stick better to the meat and you get the full effect of the spice.

I'm gonna have to try the dry rub on my next batch. I usally soak mine in soy sauce ginger brown sugar garlic and a little salt for 24 to 36 hours then on a dehydrator or my little chief smoker
