My wife always has Thanksgiving dinner here as two of her kids show up.What happened was they both called 1 day before and couldn't make it so we ended up having Thanksgiving dinner with my mother as my father and brother were going to be down on the coast sea duck hunting. While eating dinner my mother was talking about how she had missed a buck in the back fields a few days ago when my wife said hey theres a deer out in the field.I looked up and sure enough there was a buck walking out.He was about 225 yards out so my mother ran and grabbed her single shoot scoped 223 and handed it to me telling me to shoot. At the first shoot he took off bounding and stopped and started limping a few steps before stopping again. Now he is 275 yards away facing right away from me.Not sure of my first shoot and not wanting to take a chance I tried the old texas heart shot.I heard that shoot hit and he almost went down before going out of sight. There was a huge blood trail and I found him about 75 yards later.I will always remember this deer as my wife saw it.My mother's gun and me shooting it.:D

After I found the deer I walked back out to the field and raised both my arms up in triump to signal my wife and mother that I got it.My mother then said to my wife lets drive around to pick me and my deer up.My wife says she wants to finish eating first:shock:I found this out later and we all laughed about it.Then after finding out my father and brother never got no ducks I really rubbed it in.:D

Im glad you found him. The thing is, I think everyone here got a deer, and no matter how big or small, we all enjoyed being outdoors.

Its about the times out in the great outdoors hunting, trapping, fishing or just being out there and all those precious memories. It was alot of fun last year helping and watching my wife harvest her very first deer.:D
