We have always been able to hunt on sundays here. Now the big issue is sunday liquor sales, which is up for vote and the gov. is threating to veto if passed. I would like to see us go to sunday sales, every thing else is open for customers, and if you want to drink on sunday you can always stock up on saturday. So maybe by allowing sunday sells it will get the drunks off the road on saturday evening!!!

| Sunday hunting is a first for us.Now if we could get muzzleloader, shotgun and crossbow seasons for deer that would be great but not likely to happen. They are talking about crossbow hunting but it would probably be lumped in with the archery season. We have been able to buy liquor here for several years now on Sundays.Best of luck to you folks with it!!!!!

We can hunt with all the above. At first you could only hunt with a crossbow if you had a permit from a doctor saying you were unable to use a compound bow. Muzzleloaders have been in for years now, classified as primitive weapons, along with bows.

| Crossbows are illegal to hunt with here but were working on it.During the regular rifle season you can use a rifle, muzzleloader, shotgun or bow.Would like to see separate seasons for muzzleloader, shotgun and hopefully crossbows some day.

| This is the first year Sunday hunting has been allowed and it is only for 3 Sundays in the rifle season. It has been a Religious thing here, day of rest and so on.If the wrong type of pressure gets put on the government here, then we may not have Sunday hunting again after this year.

| brucet is right about the anti-hunters.We have more than our fair share of them here and the majority of Church goers are anti's.The politicians will listen to these people, because they constitute votes in the next election, and therefore tend to sit on the fence with controversial issues.Sometimes I wonder if these people really think that the steaks they have on the barbecue come from cows that are butchered after they die of old age!!!!

There's nothing wrong in my eye's with going to church in the morning and hunting in the afternoon. I've done it for years. Food sources come from many different directions and what seem's to be the trend is people rely too much on the grocery stores rather than hunting. Without proper coaching the art of hunting will be lost to the world altogether.
If you think about it, churchies hunted on sundays years ago to feed their famalies and nothing was said. It was accepted and was common practice. People have forgotten about what it was like back then. Now with people making more money there is no need for sunday hunting because people can go to the grocery store.
I personally think if the people want to ban all hunting on sunday to preserve the sabbath, then all industry should share the same fate and close their doors, meaning no one place could be open for business. The same butt-heads that are crying about hunting on sunday are the same bunch who open their doors to the others after church so they can collect money to assure that their pockets are not bare, and i know the money doesnt go in to the collection plate come sunday evening.
