| Hey guys what do you do with your old gear..... looking for a "ladies bow" about 40 to 50 lbs pull. Recurve too stiff for her...... lower end compound okay. Also looking to "recycle" other gear for a program at my church.

I shoot a Jennings J.D. Special (Limited Edition). It's a bow that was commissioned by the former owner of Arrowhead Archery over on Hwy 92 in Seffner, Florida. I believe he only had 500 made and was lucky enough to pick up one. I almost purchased a PSE Diablo last year but I love this bow so much I left the PSE on the rack. I do need to make some modifications to it like: new sight (I like the red dot optical I've been seeing on TV recently) and a New rest (I'm debating between a whisker biscuit or a drop down arrow rest).

go with a Golden Premier or the 3-D Rover both are great rests and will last you many , many years .... they are also easy to tune , (Micro adjust) and stay put so you never have to mess with them again unless you change shafts

I really love those whiskerbiscuits. Can pull back your bow watching the deer instead of your bow making sure the arrow don't fall off.

Mr. Tanner,
Are the Golden Premier or the 3-D Rover drop away arrow rests? The very reason Brucet mentioned about the Whisker Buscuit is the very reason I was thnking about going with it.
Thanks

nope they sure arent they are a 2 prong rest that is on a spring basiclly it does drop down but springs right back... I like them as i never have a problem with them... I used to shoot the whisker biscuit when it first came out years ago and i did ALOT of shooting, and it just boogerd up my fletchings I was constantly refletching arrows and I could never get anything to stay tight on it even with locktight on the threads so I ditched it ... maybe the new ones are better made but once i get a sour taste in my mouth Im turned away

I shoot quite abit just before its time to hunt and a little during the summer and have never had a problem with the fletchings using a whisker biscuit. I love them.

I love to shoot my bow. I can shoot my rifle all day and love it too, but there is nothing like stalking with a bow. You have to be on your game!
