I have been practicing quite a bit but I like to shoot through out the year to keep my arms in shape and I do like shooting so it makes it easy for me to do that.

I tryied to practice 2 days ago but my jack russell had other plans for me by gettin stuck under the shed while attacking a oppossum, Took over an hour to get her out.

I did how ever start shootin today an it did feel good.

I started shootin strikers 3 years ago an wont shoot nothing else, they fly great for me.

Ha! The terriers are terrors on possums. I had a fox terrier that got stuck under a collapsed building, trying to get a possum. The another time, he went down an armadillo hole after one. after not hearing or seeing him for 10 miniutes, I got the shovel to start digging, but I could start to hear a low down growl, that was getting louder. Next thing I know, I can see his rump jerking, as he was backing out. He cleared the hole, with a big boar possum in his teeth. A quick twist of his head to the right, and jerked back to the left, and the possum flew a couple of feet and hit the ground, graveyard dead, with a broke neck. Another time, he was lifted about 20 foot up the side of a pine tree, while he held on to a coon's tail. Luckily, when he let go, I was right under him to catch him. My Jack Russel Terriorist, has not had the same opportunities...........yet.

Im glad to hear somebody else knows the life with a jack,

Two weeks ago i  was running both my dogs, ( I have a English Breed Black Lab) My Buddy, But if he sees water an its hot out he'll take a beatin just to cool off, lol

I was running late to work as usual, an decided to run the dogs, so i ran them  outt side my truck an i followed in the A/C, the jack got hot so i threw her in the truck an let Stacks keep runnin, I went another couple hundred yards an stopped before the road,

I sall he was headed to the stream so i jump outta the truck an ran to the edge of the bridge, It was to late he was in, Well the jack ran after me an jump up onto the side of the bridge, an slid right off the top, it was a good 12' drop with imported river rock at the bottom an she was going strait down,

I just happened to reach down an grabbed her by the back 2 legs, I didnt relize that, that dog would of been dead until later cause i was still  alitle ticked Stacks was in the water.

Just thought id share lol.Steve:D

Jack Russell's tnd to have a one track mind, and they don't think about any consequences, but stay focused on what they have in mind. They will focus on a squirrel and run in front of a blaring freight train, and never look back.
