Caught a few fish this morning on  Aroostookbasser's flies. Brought up some nice blue crabs on the drop lines while I was at it.

This is the "PUF." It worked really good. The reds were in the shallows this morning, so I had to pole the boat in. I like it alot because I'm new to fly fishing and it seemed to have a little more control. It made a big ripple when I twitched it to get thier attention. I caught a few on it then switched to the others.

Is the blue crab a big one or an average one? Do you boil them, then pick the meat off?

Nice Pics Dale !!!!!!!! Will be back tying in the next couple of days..... still digging out and straightening up the new fly room.

Will tye you a few more Pufs and G bugs....... I like the "Puf" in a smaller scale as a bass fly !!!!!

Thanks for letting me share in your time outdoors. Send me more details and I will write a piece on my Aroostook Flyers and Tyers Blog about your trip with my flies.

Well, I'm not gonna lie to anyone, If someone was with me I would have probably hooked them all day.  I spent most of the morning trying to stay out of the grass. It's fun, but work when your first learning how to cast them. I had to hand rope the first one in, just not used to it.

Hold off on the article I got more pics and I'm going back the first chance I get. I'll send a CD at the end of the summer. I don't even have any trout pics for you. I fish on the Best lake for trophy trout in LA. These little reds are just to small to use in your  website. Give me a little time to get used to them.

I'm in no hurry...... just like helping people to have fun fishing. Will hold off until you send Cd at end of summer. Include a little info...... just in your own words about the where's and when's and i will rewrite to fit...or segment it. Then put a link back to here or the main sight to send traffic to you.

Check out "Northwoods Wanderings"..... i already gave you a plug over there.

Fly room is clearing out... can be tying again in a short while. Will send you some more flies.  The tan and white fly you show in two of the pics is a Gbug...or "gurgler"....... shrimp like little bugger. The Puff fly will be harder to tye more of...looking for more of those "herring" hooks up here. Love them for salt flies. If you see any of those hooks down that way send me some and I'll get more flies to you sooner.
