CHAPTER 55 SWINE
RULE 55.9 FERAL SWINE
**PART B MOVEMENT OF FERAL SWINE MAY BE:
(1)MOVED FROM THE PREMISIS WHERE THEY WERE TRAPPED TO A GAME PRESERVE PROVIDED THEY ARE NEGATIVE TO AN OFFICIAL TEST FOR BRUCELLOSIS AND PSUDORABIES WITHIN 30 DAYS PRIOR TO MOVEMENT
OR
(2) MOVED DIRECTLY FROM WHERE THEY WERE TRAPPED TO A SLAUGHTER HOLDING FACILITY.

| Some of your rules are more liberal meaning that here they will almost imprision you for transporting live swine anywhere. They want them DEAD, DEAD,DEAD..... They are so afraid of this wide spread epidemic, that the mere thought of them getting away into an area that they are not in drives them crazy.....

TAHC (Texas Animal Health Commision) allready had these same laws in place for several years. Not sure where they come in to play with HB 2543. For the most part, the laws are pretty much the same from state to state, they don't want to do anything to aid the spread of the feral hog population. (I did my part to help them, this morning. snicker)
