I have been combing the net trying to figure out where to go with my neighbor on a hog hunt in Texas. As a boy I lived near San Antonio and my Dad and I went on a hog hunt or two, but I remember them being unproductive (was only about 7 so don't remember much). Here are the various things we are looking for (I have tried to rank them in order of importance).
1) Big hogs/boars
2) Ability to still hunt during the day and hunt at night using our night optics
3) Price- looking to spend around $500 or less for 3 full days of hunting
4)Knowledgeable, competent, and helpful outfitter/employees
5) Terrain- would like a mix of open space and brush/forested areas
5) Accommodations- this is the least of our concerns. We don't even need to stay at a ranch, we could stay at a Motel 8 to reduce cost, we just want the opportunity to kill hogs and any coyotes around.
Thanks in advance for any information you can provide. It is greatly appreciated.
